Supporting local business is important for the local economy. Every time a consumer shops, does business or patronizes businesses close to home, a portion of each dollar goes to keep local government running. This enables the city, county and state governmental entities to perform many functions, such as operating the police and fire departments that keep communities safe. The dollars add up and support neighborhood parks and recreation programs and provide resources to maintain as well as grow communities. Do your part by patronizing a nearby business and using local service providers whenever possible.

About This Guide
The Alameda Blue Book Island Guide, is a vehicle for businesses and residents to find local resources, specifically businesses and service providers in their own backyards. We hope you find it useful.
The Biggest Change is that we no longer incorporate white page residential listings. So much has changed over the last few years, that only a small percentage of Alameda residents maintain an AT&T landline. Most have switched to alternate providers, VOIP, or only use a cell phone, that it is no longer possible to purchase reputable, reliable residental phone information to include.
